I posted this on the UG, but didn't get many good responses...

I have used it a few different ways. The first, I grab my instep with my hand, extend my shin and pull down with my hand.

Also, I get the foot around the front of the neck, extend my shin, and pull on the back of their head with both hands, like you do on a triangle.

Both seem to be effective in getting the tap, but is one inherently better than the other?

Also, it seems to be a trachea choke, I can't figure out a good way to make it a blood choke. Is this just the nature of the beast?

I demonstrated/explained the choke with the shin accross the neck and reaching around the back of the head in my video ( www.kibunInc.com). It is not a blood choke but a trachea choke. I tend to use it off of a failed arm bar. It is a mean choke but can be coiuntered with a good toe hold, by grabbing the foot which is accros the neck and using a figure four hold on the toes.
