    Play-by-Play (End of Rnd 3)

"As Pennington fires back at her, Holm clinches up, and the crowd responds in kind. Pennington catches Holm on the end of a left hand, but we reach the 15-minute mark and this lackluster affair is now over."
    --Sherdog.com

“Well, it was not the fight I wanted after waiting 5 years. I wanted to fight not be hugged the whole time."

    --Raquel P.

Holm persevered through a cornucopia of distractions during the camp and still won. She revealed at the post-fight press conference that her father suffered a stroke about three weeks ago, but she felt she had to go on with the fight.

“I never want to make any excuses, a lot happened this camp. But my coaches are so amazing and always worked with me when I was available and we made it happen. I have a lot of people around me that are really loving and really supportive, plus everyone has something going on in their lives. This was a lot, but nothing I couldn’t handle.”
    --Holly H.

UFC should be ashamed to have charged anyone to watch that fight

Holly is the most boring fighter in MMA.

    Raquel is also boring AF.

Don't care to see them fight ever again.

Weird strategy considering Holly had the reach and striking advantage.

They should have at least made out in the clinch.

    This !!!!!!

I mean Holly has really become effective at clinch control... Not so effective at damage in the clinch.

So I am wondering why she elected to go there... She was landing some pretty good straights on the few occasions she got charged.

But Raquel KNEW she was down on the cards and was the one who engaged in the fence grappling in the 3rd... Inexplicable !

Some fence grappling to tire/distract Pennington would have been reasonable and a good thing to do... But too much.

My mom had a stroke 5 years ago. To hear the Preacher's daughter's father had a stroke is heartbreaking. I know this is a consumer sport, and entertainment sport, and Holly has let us down before... But life happens. Best of wishes to her. Seeing your family fall apart is fucking devastating

Raquel happily went back to the clinch on her own a couple times, she had nothing for Holly in any aspect of MMA.

The saddest part of all is that Aldrich vs Mazo was a decent scrap, and Roxanne's humiliation of Barber was glorious to watch.

Overall, the WMMA on this card was decent.

Wonder if anyone will get the Carmouche treatment? And of course the Holm Pennington snoozer was very predictable.

It's on both of them. All the people watching them in the co main and they're content to clinch for 15 mins. Funny to me Dana was complaining about the ref not breaking up the clinch. They're fighters they should want to get in there and fight. If they don't want to don't put them on ppv anymore.
