Tyson was off his head on coke
Maybe it’s not about who he faces
Maybe it was about how fucked up was he and how long he needed to get going

Talent and a bit of insanity seem to go hand in hand sometimes, interestingly.

Tyson was certainly a precocious talent, that being said he was still developing and this was his first bout at MSG. I guess it was a factor, even he he won this comfortably on the cards. Not underselling Green, he was good but a slightly older version of Mike would have finished him IMO.

i've heard differeing versions, i heard he kayoed green and green himself said that tyson ran when he realized his hand was broken, shaking his wrist as he ran. I still remember the day, i was working in a mill and the guys were talking about it and the obvious thing was, "what was he doing out at that time of morning?"

Always found his story of being out collecting a custom made jacket a bit odd.

In his book he talks about how he couldn't sleep so he'd go out in the small hours, but still.
