I would take Shogun over every version of Vitor except "TRT Vitor".

It's a bit of a misnomer as I believe Vitor was using TRT a few fights before he became a head kicking machine.

The Vitor that blasted Hendo and Rockhold into outer space scares me, though. I wouldn't argue with someone that favored him over Shogun.

Sadly, as a Shogun fan, I've long wished he would roid. Few fighters need it so badly :( My justification would be simple: with 3 ACL tears, luck gave him a horrible draw. Not a fan but if Cruz resorted to roiding I wouldn't hold it against him either.

What about Motivated BJ Penn, pre diverticulitis Brock, or PRIDE Fedor?

Shogun. Easy. Vitor, even at his best, folds under pressure.

Shogun ruled in pride Vitor couldn't do well with the pace, a prime shogun wins.. I was a big Vitor fan growing up.. So hard to say but true... The fight I always wanted was a prime Vitor vs Prime Frank Shamrock, but shamrock walked away from the UFC before it could happen

The guy has one submission. If the fight does not go the distance it's due to a k.o

Shogun wins, hes always been more well rounded.

    Probably a decision.
