Randy Couture had trouble taking BJ down would Khabib still maul him or does BJ drop and sub him? BJ had good cardio around the Sherk and Diego fights too IMO this is a dream fight no one talks about
It's fun to think about. BJ got frustrated so easily though. Once he did, it was a loss. We never know the results in anything worth speculating. I think this is worth speculating. At the same time, BJ vs GSP makes this notion more valid. What do we do in the end about this question? not much; have fun.
BJ would fold. Khabib would put too much pressure on him. Watch GSP vs Penn 2. That is how it would go.
I think BJ wins. 90 percent of people will say Khabib, but I think Bj rips him a new one. Bj had god like takedown defense. Khabib couldn't do shit to Tibau. Much cleaner boxing, BJ is hard to take down, hard to hold down. Khabib ain't GSP.
these "GSP and Frankie did this to BJ, so Khabib wins" arguments make no sense. not only is Khabib's stand up nowhere near as good as GSP's or Frankie's, Khabib doesn't set up his takedowns with his striking even half as well as them. i believe GSP has a better shot into his takedowns while Khabib is more tenacious and will continue to chain takedowns together until he gets his opponent down and Frankie is really right in the middle of them as far as takedowns, in my opinion. to get BJ down you'll need a good stand up game and you'll need to be able to blend your stand up with your takedowns, you'll need to time a quick and explosive shot to catch BJ off guard when he thinks you're trying to strike him to be able to get him down, i don't think Khabib has the ability to do that. BJ beats the shit out of Khabib and makes him look foolish.
Prime BJ gets killed. They SAID Randy had trouble taking BJ down. GSP had no problem with it. Khabib by massive amounts of ground and pound after BJ gasses after round one.
Taking him down in practice with no punches is different then a real fight. Once Penn gets tired he will get taken down
Prime BJ is undefeated in fantasy fights. But somehow he has .500 MMA record lol. " but he wasnt motivated, he fought bigger guys". BJ would get mauled after the 2nd round
No. Khabib might win, but he is not 170lb GSP in his absolute prime. He's great, but he's not that by a long shot. He doesn't have the same athleticism, size, stand up or wrestling game, or the same level of fight IQ. I'm not saying Khabib wouldn't win, though.
He separated a rib in that fight, he was 100% dominant in that before the injury. I remember it well, I was there live.
