Prime Mirko vs Cormier at HW: Who takes it?

In the light of Sherdogs front page article, it reminded me how much of a beast Cro Cop was...
So, who takes between him at his prime and 2 legged Cormier? :)
 
Prime Mirco was like greased lightning and DC's low posture would be the easy target.
 
Cormier. His TDs are MUCH better than the 40+ year old, highly-telegraphed Coleman who Cro-Cop fought. If Randleman went 1-1 with Cro-Cop, Daniel goes 2-0 if they fought twice. He's a better, more well-rounded wrestler than anyone Mirko fought (i.e., Hammer House guys who were stuck in 1997.) His overall skill set and fight IQ are on a different level.

DC by being the better fighter and taking Cro Cop down repeatedly while not getting kicked in the face.

Again: Cro Cop was considered at his absolute best winning the Pride owgp, and then some half year later he was suddently "out of his prime" in the UFC when he started doing not so good.
 
Cormier would suffocate him with greatly superior wrestling and give him no room to get any hard strikes off.

Wrong. Mirkos physic was at his absolute best in 2003. Sharpest CC there ever was. Owgp CC probably gave us his best performance but his peak form was 2003. CC already had minor injuries in 2006.
 
Gustafsson almost finished DC. Prime Cro Cop would annihilate him. The likes of DC were Mirkos speciality.
 
Probably DC. Mirko could always catch someone with a head kick, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a decision victory via good boxing and takedowns. Similar to Mirko/Fedor.

Wouldn't necessarily say Daniel is a better wrestler than Randleman. Cormier after all I don't think never won NCAA title.

I think Mirko. It's like how Cormier struggles to take LHWs guys down relatively to HWs. I think Mirko would be too fast and hits too hard for Cormier
 
Mirko no doubt. Prime Mirko fast strong as fuck, and very very fast. DC is meh compared.

Let's say Mirko was physically at his prime in 2003. Maybe so, but that doesn't mean he was in his prime as an mma fighter. He was still pretty green in mma, still learning ground game, tdd etc. And people even used that as an excuse.

If you're gonna pick and choose and differ between a fighters physical prime and the prime of his skill set, or whatever - sure. You'll always be able to point out little things to fit your agenda.

Fact is, when cro cop won the owgp, people were saying: "This version of Mirko would have beat Fedor!! He is that much better than when he fought him!"

Then fast forward half a year, and Mirko is suddently out of his prime.
