Machida was the smarter fighter, but man Rumble is big and strong. Lets just say I wouldnt be surprised if current prime rumble KOs both prime machida and shogun.

Prime Machida was also a middleweight imo. The Machida that fought Jones looked really good until Jones starched him.

Prime Machida by UD. He's too fast and sharp. Rumble might help even knock himself out throwing hella hard at one of the best counter games in the business. Or he gasses badly and gets picked apart. Rumble has a puncher's chance, but so does anybody. He's not crafty enough to make the opening for a shot that big.

Most people are noobs here… The reality is that prior to Shogun nobody knew how to face Machida. Rashad for instance got starched… With a proper game plan he has a good chance to win that fight but that wasn't the reality.

Rumble is no different. When Machida was in his prime there was no blueprint. He demolished big, heavy handed strikers before and he would do so with Rumble.

Machida would drop and sub him within two rounds.

Rameau was coming off two first round KO's of Arona and prime lil nog. He was an absolute savage and at the time had a bunch of hype. There are significant parallels between him and Rumble.
