Both have great boxing , Gus's was more refined IMO & he also used to throw kicks here and there. Stipe doesn't throw as many kicks TBH. Stipe has above avg wrestling While Gus has legendary TDD. Gus will have reach advantage over Stipe, While I think Stipe has wider/bigger frame.

Prime Gus was a stud. Both guys have really good mma wrestling. But Gus always had the tendency to block punches with his face and was able to get away with that against Jones who doesn't hit as hard as Stipe so all in all I would have favored Miocic.
