Catchweight...

In my opinion prime GSP wins by UD 8/10...

Your thougths?

He'd be giving up some good size and I feel Weidman is still one of the most underrated fighters out there. Weidman by TKO round 4.

The good boy Chris Widemen is much bigger than Pierre, but he has cardio issues.

I'll take prime Pierre by decision.

I doubt there would be any catchweight since da chris is a pretty big MW.

and my lord da chris would brutalize GSP. GSP doesn't make it out of round 1. GSP trained with Chris and afterwards was very confident chris wouldbeat silva. I think that hints at how their training went.

GSP didn't even want to fight the MW he could take down, doesn't make me like his hypothetical chances against Weidman.

Probably Chris by UD or KO.

Pretty scary shit happens when Weidman sprawls on his opponent.

GSP didn't react well to Hendrick's ground and pound- not sure if he can survive a round of flurry by Weidman- it's very possible he'd give up the guard in an attempt to get back to his feet and get caught in a submission as he's defending against strikes.

I'd go weidman. I think gsp is the better fighter, but that's a huge size difference
Edit: just saw the catchweight part, if weidman has to cut well into the 170s gsp would crush him

"Prime" GSP vs "Full Training Camp" Weidman?

I'd take Weidman.

Chris by extreme domination making GSP look like an undercard fighter.

Number 1 . The Wasteland Wins.

Number 2 . I'm a big big big big GSP fan , but Weidman is a HUGE MW , he's out wrestled and beat (in NCAA finals I believe) Bader and Phil Davis.

Chris would KO Prime GSP in round 3 . Weidman would smash any One Not Named Jones/Gus in every division .

Even in HW I'd only favour Cain and Browne Vs Chris.

Chris is for real , his TDD would stop GSP and GSP's striking is good but Chris Chin is Legit.

I LOVE Georges but this wouldn't end well for him , anyone who says otherwise isn't logical.

It's funny how obvious GSP is ducking Silva here. He clearly didn't ever want to fight him and he was hoping anyone else could beat him first. King duck of MMA. Queen duck is Jon Jones

Yes kind of but everybody who trains with Weidman says hes amazing and learns ridiculously quick. GSP became a very reserved fighter after Serra and focused on keeping his damage to a minimum. Not a fan of his style but he had a long reign as champ because of it and really only took bad damage in the last 2 fights. In a business sense he made out extremely well with relatively little damage compared to most fighters with his kind of resume. If ducking Silva was part of that strategy then so be it, he made out in the end.

BTW: Chris is a very big mw and would most likely out wrestle and gnp post serra gsp. Now young aggressive gsp is a different animal but size difference is too big of a factor to rule out. Chris would gas in 3rd-5th rounds and gsp would edge out. Chris would need to finish it in the first or second.
