Getting harder and more depressing to watch him each fight, someone give this dude some TRT

He's 41. Too rare seeeing someone at that age still thriving in the sport. At least we still have YouTube to watch his old self

In b4 someone says he looked like he always did

but I agree. Prime Anderson would have knocked him in 3 mins max

Prime Anderson was on dick pills.

Brunson looked so fucking weak in that fight. He was landing flush hooks and uppercuts, Silva wasn't even rocked....

Yeah, he would. There were moments in the fight a prime Anderson would have finished it. Too old, too slow, too tentative to really capitalise on it.

He still shows glimpses of the GOAT Silva but they are few and far between. TBH I wouldn't mind one more farewell fight for Anderson. I would hate for him to tarnish his legacy.

Brunson wouldn't have seen the 4th minute against 05-12 Anderson. It was heartbreaking to hear him say he's too old and slow now.

Everytime I watch him fight now... I pray that he pulls out another highlight reel shock the MMA world move on someone like he used to.. just doesnt happen anymore and he cant even pull the trigger..

yea, he's been fighting for awhile now.

its obvious he has lost a step or two, but in his defense he did not look good in his prime against fighters who fought similar to brunson did

Hes definitely not the same but still enough to beat Brunson which is pretty amazing. He doesnt have the same accuracy or control over his own body anymore. Slipping and falling off a knee? There were alot of shots he missed and got off balance that prime Anderson would not have. Not quite the same speed either. Still looks pretty good though. His sprawls were amazing and some of his spin kicks looked great too. Still got a chin as well.

Just to remind you prime Anderson went to a decision with Leites and Maia.

That Brunson was not the one that fought Yoel....Boring fight!

Also, Anderson does not possess the power to put anyone in a body bag.

Have always had more respect for Silva than someone like GSP, Jones.

The latter are so protective of their records and legacy, they never try anything out of the comfort zone. While we have Silva giving two fucks about records, taking on up and comers, champions from higher divisions without hesitation. Remember as well, they were both stylistic nightmares. If Dan Henderson deserved a title shot, then Anderson Fucking Silva deserves on last salvo against Bisping. Sorry Yoel, Jacare, but I want to see that dream end to a career.

I will never include Anderson Silva in my GOAT lists, but the guy fears no body. True definition of a born fighter.

Prime Anderson would never have been fighting Brunson. Titles redundant, but I agree T'S. I find solace in the fact that Silva's still loving what he's doing, win or lose.

It was funny hearing Rogan talk about fighters being past it and wondering whether Anderson was when Anderson is 41 and has been past it for many years now.

But considering that he is physically a shadow of his mformer self he looked good. He won't ever win a belt again but he is at least still a legit top 10 fighter and is technically as good as ever (his wrestling looked better than ever).

He is past it but he used to be so good that even a past it Anderson is a top 10 MW

HUH?

He has had ONE VERY questionable win since he last beat Bonnar in 2012. The rest consists of 4 losses and a NC due to him testing positive. Hendo was still winning fights albeit losing too. Silva was just losing. Hendo also has that historical KO of Bisping which made it an easier sell. Bisping has already beaten Silva and Silva has looked awful since 2012.

You want Romero to wait? He's finished Brunson, Kennedy, Machida, Weidman and beaten Jacare and you still think Silva deserves it more than him? I understand you're a fan but use your head. Romero, Jacare, Whitaker and Rockhold deserve a shot before Silva.
