So Gary Goodridge and Don Frye lock up for the third time,and Goodridge KNOCKS OUT Don with a huge head kick. Its like he saw what Yvel did to him,and needed to get his own back on somebody else. And that is what the FUCK he did!!!!!

THIS however,is not the REAL story. This alone does not make PRIDE the #1 premier orginization in the history of full contact fighting. This awesome near-death in the ring is not what keeps TUF gnubs up at night,autistically shrieking in their mama's basements.

It's the FACT that AFTER this happens...only a FEW hours later, Don Frye COMES BACK and joins Bas and Mauro in the commentary booth,clearly slurring his words,still not over being nearly decapitated.

One has to wonder if he even had permission to come out there. He might have fought through 50 white shirted pride officials,and 50 more Yakuza and just sat down next to em. Maybe Gary Millen was sitting there and he threw him into the third row. Id like to think that anyway. Watch and listen as Don Frye is like Ykkknooooowsumthin Bas....ur one of of my favorite fighterssss

I mean,Dana White could be trying to tell you the attendance records,and Don Frye could appear out of nowhere and grab the mic and speak on this shit

Sure Saku was still undersized fighting Lil Nog,but DAMN he really got outclassed in this fight. I think this marked a real turning point for the LEGEND sakuraba fighting at the high level anymore.

Yuki Kondo vs Mario Sperry was a bit dramatic cos Sperry was an older guy and getting unexpectedly outclassed by the younger Japanese.

Sperry was one of the leaders at BTT,and it was a hard loss for those guys. Renzo doing commentary gave Yuki his props.

Such a good event. All Shockwaves were cool NYE events (besides the first one as it wasn't on NYE).
Can't beat the Don fight, but Murilo Ninja Rua vs Akira Shoji had to be a close second with the quick knee knockout. Go Ninja! Had high hopes for Ninja, but at least we got Shogun to follow in his footsteps.

Ninja was a violent ass dude,just not elite. He looked great stomping C-tier fighters though. He was usually alot of fun win or lose.

The ring made it easier to view the fighters, too. It was so much better in the day compared to UFC back then. I use to love watching those events.
