Pride/Prime Rampage vs Daniel Cormier

Any version of Rampage is going to get thrown on his head. Cormier 30-27 or 50-45.
 
Love Rampage but Cormier is on a whole different level.
 
Cormier could beat Rampage with his hands tied behind his back on his worst day and Rampage's best day.
 
Cormier beats any LHW great in their prime except maybe JonJones. Cormier beats '05 Shogun, Liddell, Rampage, PRIDE Wand.
 
This is Sherdog dude. No one would beat DC until he actually loses a fight, then after that happens he was always overrated.

I'd favor a hungry Page via KO
 
It's hard to say. Prime Rampage had his moments like knocking out Randleman. He was a powerful guy and I bet could also throw around Cormier like Cormier did Henderson. It's a toss up fight because at any given moment either guy could hurt the other guy.

On the topic: Rampage was a beast, but I'd have to consider how much styles and training has changed over the years. It's a hard call (especially since I find it hard to imagine), but probably DC via decision.
 
I don't know about this one......Tough one to call. I really want to see Cormier fight a legit top 5 lhw. Hendo was a top lhw, but passed his prime and undersized.

What? It takes more than rampage to throw around an Olympic wrestling captain like cormier, come on.

I don't think Rampage ever had the technique or speed to throw Cormier around. He sure had power, though.

Pride was untested though, comparing pride performances to tested (albeit poorly and easy enough to get around) UFC ones is a little unfair IMO. Like comparing pro natural bodybuilders to IFBB pros nearly.

To answer your question TS. On Sherdog, today - Cormier destroys him. After Cormier's first loss, he becomes a can & Rampage destroys him.

Everyone on this site changes their mind like the weather. Take a look at 5 years prior & see what everyone thought of Robbie Lawler.

The truth is, Pride Rampage was an awesome fighter & it would have been a very tough bout. Sherdog has no clue.
 
Ah yes, the mystical primes of former Pride fighters.
 
Its hard to say really whether Pride or early UFC Rampage was the "best" version but I think the Pride version would probably have been best equipped to fight Cormier given the way the latter version struggled with Lindland whilst the earlier version put Randleman away quite fast(although not without trouble).
