I like to know if you have any information of pride bouts that was scheduled but got canceled

Only I have heard of are these

- Ken Shamrock vs Igor Vovchanchyn (Tra Teligman replaced that fight)

- Semmy Schilt vs Igor Vovchanchyn (Akira Shoji replaced the fight)

- Ricardo Arona vs Quinton Jackson in 2003 grand prix (Murilo Bustamante took the fight)

- Kazushi Sakuraba vs Wanderlei Silva 4 ( Mark Hunt took the fight)

- Igor Vovchanchyn vs TBA ( Dan Bobish took the fight on 2 weeks notice, still unknown who Igor was suppose to fight)

Also I have heard that Jon-Olav Einemo was scheduled for the pride hw tournament in 2004 to fight Sergey Kharitonov but that is why Murilo Ninja took the fight.

Do you have more information? I would like to know

Though not official, PRIDE had planned a Sakuraba vs Rickson fight.

When Matt Serra was set to fight the guy that got caught on fire from the fireworks on the way to the ring to fight.

The Grand Prix that was scheduled before UFC shut it down for good. I believe it had Aoki, Melendez, Hughes, Diego Sanchez, etc.

Wasn't Holyfield approached for a fight too?

i would love have seen in pride

I had no idea Filho and Anderson were set to fight back in 2002. Thats a match up I always wanted to see.

Johil de Oliveira, a very good luta livre based, largely forgotten fighter who beat the shit out of sherdog darling Jose Landi. After the pyro accident, he was something like 75-80% blind in both eyes and talked about how he could hardly see his opponents in the ring anymore. Sadly, his record reflects that (12-3-1 pre accident, 5-13-0-1NC post accident).

Edit: The accident didnt take place during his walkout, but during the entrance ceremony rehearsal before the show.

Cheers for this Woah. . Wes Sims would have been a riot in Pride it was weird looking back Hammer House was in and were getting a big push in Pride but no Wes. MMA fans were robbed we didn't see a Wes Sims Pride run . . Wes vs Giant Silva!!
