Do we all agree this has been collectively the wost season across Europe for a long time.

Everyone looks knackered.

When do the Euros and Copa start?

M8, today's game was hard fought, intense, and well-played. The PSG-City series was absolutely amazing. Blazing speed from both teams, incredible skill and touch.

You're looking at this through shit-tinted glasses because United disappointed.

He's been showing that in the CL since leaving Barca. That's like the 4th or 5th year where he used a completely new formation/tactic in an important CL game. He overthinks badly.

True, but you shouldn't need a perfect game or formation to beat the 4th place team in your league. Especially after you've won your league by like 10 points or whatever.

Chelsea are the ones that needed a perfect game and they got it.

Pep's not completely blameless either.

Not sure who's responsible, Tuchel, the Chelsea players themselves or City players shitting the bed but Chelsea were playing defense like an old school catenaccio team.

Perfect game from them. Lord Pep showing he's mortal.

surely is pep's fault.

i think he himself admit that by bringing on fernandinho in 60 mins, when they are one nill down.

had he put a DM in the starting line up, they probably would not have conceded, or maybe even score first.

You can get away without playing a striker or without playing a DMF, but for some reason he tried to do both today and I assume that it was to surprise Tuchel. Problem is that the team couldn't do shit with that kind of set up. Sure the players are at fault, too, but damn, stick to what made your team great ffs.

Chelsea played extremely well, I agree. Tuchel is an extremely good coach when you exclude his personality, I wonder how long he makes it. Purely from a "coaching skill" standpoint, he's at the top for sure.

He also started Sterling who has underperformed all season

Bollocks. United have been shit for years. ;)

Obviously there's been a few entertaining games (PSG-Bayern comes to mind), but very few of the big guns have had peak seasons. Between Bayern, City, Pool, Real, Juve and Barca, all have had far better seasons in recent years.
Average Chelsea just won CL. A poor Atletico just won la Liga. Inter were no great shakes. Bayern won, obviously it's Germany, but definitely a step back from last year. City won at a canter, but with like 15 points less than in recent seasons.

They played pretty well, but that was not a perfect performance, nor did it need to be.

City have been good most of the season, especially around January and February, but they were no where near as good as they were in that 2016-2019 period, imo.
