Hey guys..

So I'm heading out to the mother land. Have a month to spend in SP. I've read the last thread on SP which is a bit dated. Wondering if there's any fresh news in 2011? Anyone out in Sao Paulo? I'm looking at Gurgel's for the minute but would like some more info. on the set up there and haven't been able to find contacts there as yet, just dead links?! Anyone have anymore suggestions other than Alliance?

Thanks in advance..

Thanks.. Atos is def. up for consideration and i'm hearing Rio Clara is thorough without the bright lights. Just hard training day in day out. Any links or contacts for Godoi or Macaco Nefti? Who would you choose over the two as visiting them both is def. out of the question..lolz Any idea where the focus of their games are? Conncetion Rio only seems to deal with Rio although I may be wrong.

Call alliance and see if you can work out a deal for a month. On their site they have the package deals for a week stay. Under "academia alliance" then "visitantes". I can not recommend a private with Gurgel enough. Also check out 99.

If it helps here are a couple Brasa gyms in Sao Paulo as well:

Brasa Demian

Endere

The results speak for themselves. Tarsis Humphries, Michael Langhi, Bernardo Faria, Bruno Malfacine, Sergio Moraes, Luanna Alzuguire (sp?), Gabi Garcia, and lots of up and comers at the lower belts are all training at Alliance SP. There is no better school in the world. I couldn't imagine why someone would go to SP and not train there.

Thanks for info. Alliance does head the list for sure! Just wanted to get a feel from anyone on the ground or even there now. Much appreciated all! BJJMed I'll check the link thanks. On the celly at the moment.
