To be honest I should be on there instead of you, pussy.

I was in the midst of making a thread about the anniversary of Nov fawf. The prem threads national holiday. The day that is the inner essence of this thread.
And we get a lame ass made up belt in a D level sport instead

I speak for the rest of sherdog when I say im literally shaking.

Saves me doing choons and pics at least

Condensed version:

Its almost November 4th, a day that will live in prem thread infamy. To provide context, Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in their first CL matchup of the season, goals from Giroud and Ozil in the dying minutes. Confidence was high in London. The battle for the winner of group F (press F to pay respects) was upon us.

Bayern (4-1-4-1): Neuer; Lahm (c.), Boateng, Javi Martínez, Alaba; Xabi Alonso; Douglas Costa, Thiago, Müller, Coman; Lewandowski

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Čech; Debuchy, Mertesacker (c.), Gabriel, Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla; Campbell, Özil, Sánchez; Giroud

Lewandowski (10') Müller (29' 89') Alaba (44') Robben (55')
Giroud (69' nice)

The thread if you want to relive the fateful day
https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/2014-15-premiere-league-thread-vnovemberfawf-2-4.3092011/

Arsenal recovered and went on to finish 2nd in the group which led to getting pumped by Barcalona in the next round (5-1 again on aggragate) while Bayern lost in the semis to Atletico on away goals. This set up a series of 5-1 games, 2 years later Bayern won 5-1 two times in a row winning on a 10-2 aggregate. But you always remember your first, and in that case, it was the fawf.

4 years later, yesterday Bayern decided to pay homage to Nov fawf

In honor of the fawf, I decided to make a compilation of ****DEFENSIVE ENTHUSIASM HLs******** 2019 so far

Tyrone Mings makes a good goal line clearance vs Manchester City

Marc Andre Ter Stegen clearing a long ball like a German Neuer

Sixth tier English football hard brexit row Z clearance. Love to see it

Sheffield United currently have the lowest goals allowed in the PL. Wonder if anyone on here predicted their success this season. Hmmmm. John Egan could have been killed! or ended up like Gerrard but instead risks it all

Christian Fuchs prevents a Kante tap in, denying his former teammate

Michelangelo Smalldini prevents a sure goal, ensuring a 2-1 victory for Roma over Napoli

Even Messi ends up running into good defending. David Hovorka of Slavia Prague makes a tackle in the box and is clearly enthused. Imagine trying to score on a guy wearing short shorts. The next game he tore his ACL, but he can look back on this season knowing what he did

Fikayo Tomori saves Chelsea the embarrassment from being scored on by Burnley, clearly shell shocked from a Pulisic hat trick, on something that wasnt a set piece/long ball

Matteo Guendouzi forgetting which football hes playing, prevents a goal in the dying minutes of this classic London midtable matchup with the tactical foul or all tactical fouls. No idea how this wasnt a red, but saving a point is all that matters

Nobody cares about international breaks when it isnt a major tournament but dont tell Merih Demiral that, enthused after a tackle on Coman in a Turkey/France matchup ending in a draw

Stefan de Vrij ensures to never get called for a handball by sliding his entire body to prevent a goal

Luis Gustavo with a SMOOTH tackle from behind

And finally, probably the best, the infamous injured clearance of PKFC

Whats your favorite display of defense?

Knew this would get posted so I already did the research

All of these goals are against teams mid to bottom table besides 1 vs Cagliari. Didn’t score vs Juventus or Lazio. He’s the same guy as always. Serie As bottom teams would get shit on by their PL counterparts
