I think (for longer stuff read my post in the Packers fred :) ) they want to replace Rodgers in 2022 if possible and at the latest in 2023. But they would prefer 2022 (17m dead cap but 22m savings on his 40m hit). If that is NOT the plan, it makes this draft even worse. Why they do it that early is the big question I have? Figured they would try to stack the team around him and try to let him pick people apart from the pocket (see Brees).

Dillon is a fucking monster and apparently despite Boston not really using him in the passing game, he's supposed to be pretty decent there as well. Figure the 2020 and 2021 seasons are not even supposed to be contender seasons, they want to further rebuild the roster and hand Love a strong O-Line and running game as well as a competent defense for his rookie contract seasons.

They reached on the TE/FB/HB because LaFleur badly wanted that matchup piece and they thought he would not be there at the end of R5. To be fair to them, he DID kind of shoot up in the rankings late and lots of analysts like him.

Super smart guy. He came and trained with us for a month when he was in medical school and ended up at Mayo Clinic for orthopedic surgery. I won’t be surprised if he ends up a spine specialist, though it’s be cool to see him focus on sports med and affiliated with an NFL team at some point.
