We have done this before in group stages and gone on to be a lot better in the knockout stages. If it stays like this we will be on the favourable side of the draw which we need to take advantage of.

He forgot to mention that they also won fuck all when they „played better“ in the ko stages.

Bell End knows fuck all about the beautiful game. If a genie gave me a wish to kill 5 people he'd be in danger.

Knockout games under Southgate:

WC 18: Beat Colombia on penalties, beat Sweden 2-0, lost to Croatia 2-1
Euro 21: Beat Germany 2-1, beat Ukraine 4-0, beat Denmark 2-1 (aet), lost to Italy on penalties
WC 22: Beat Senegal 3-0, lost to France

We basically took advantage of favourable draws and lost when we faced a decent team (even that Germany team wasn't great). W should be beating Croatia and Italy.....especially after taking the lead both games.

Once again the draw has gifted England here, too. Spain, Portugal, Germany and France are all on the other half of the draw to England.

Came here to say this. My goodness. If you gave the man a pen and let him drawn out groups and brackets, they wouldn’t look much different.

No one's talking about it but Bellingham has been crap the entire tournament.

You know who would have been a perfect replacement for him?

Southgate out

Him and Foden have been terrible. Kane, Bellingham, and Foden are all taking up the same space. Palmer and Gordon need to start.

Maddison should have gone over Mainoo

Two takes on England here. Firstly the negative which is the main one.

Southgate is dogshit. Genuinely think he might be the worst manager in the tournament.

This group was the worst entertainment there. 4 terribly boring teams.

That should've been a 9pt group.

You are probably fucked.

Positive:

You won the group. Two clean sheets, didn't look threatened at all in 3 games.

You've got the easy side of the draw. Sunday you'll play a 3rd place team. Highly winnable.

Overall though it seems under Southgate your best shot is to "Greece it" and win every knockout game by a single goal.

You don't seem capable of comfortably beating anyone from here on out. The pressure is gonna get worse starting on Sunday. Gareth will go into his shell. He was terrified of conceding against a completely toothless but durable Slovenia. Imagine his tactics against a 3rd place team that attack with purpose. Probably a back 5 and 2 DMs.

He's just not made for this world. He's made for modestly taking Birmingham to the Championship playoffs with no pressure

The silver lining is that most of your talents are young as fuck so next tournament with a better manager you'll probably see real progress
