I’m predicting that this is a retirement fight for both fighters. Not a very bold prediction, I know I know.
<YeahOKJen>

DC has openly said he will retire regardless of whether he wins or loses that night.

Stipe has hinted at retirement multiple times now. He’s probably in the mindset that he has nothing else to prove, and that the injuries he’s sustained are adding up.

It’s probably not planned out by both men to co-retire, but I think both are planning on retiring separately for their own reasons.

I agree with @Ares Black that it is quite possible that both retire.
Cormier has stated multiple times that this is it for him.
Miocic clearly doesn't have a great relationship with UFC and if he checks his funds he might decide that that's enough money and he retires and walks away and spends time with his wife and daughter.

So..whoever retires.... Ngannou is clearly getting the title-shot next. Dunno who UFC would match him up against.
If Cormier wins : he won't fight Ngannou.
If Stipe wins: he MIGHT fight Ngannou again, or he may just say 'fuck it, I've had enough'.

It'd probably have to be Curtis Blaydes again I would have thought, not sure who else you could really give a shot to unless they decide to cave to Jones' demands.

Curtis doesn't have a shot in hell.

Mumble Mumble
Is what it is
Mumble Mumble
Lot of good fights
Mumble Mumble
So it is what it is

Only time that I've ever understood him was when he yelled about having a kid after he beat Ngannou.

As long as it isn't Lewis IDGAF.

I actually think the rematch could be an all out slugfest for half a round. The first fight Ngannou was coming off of his first loss and was probably timid due to self doubt. If they rematched now Ngannou is riding a win streak so would be coming in confident, and also has the stigma from the first fight to wash off. Lewis is going to fight at whatever pace Ngannou sets.

Stipe ain't retiring. DC, probably. He is a coach as well as a commentator so he makes good money.

If Stipe wins, Stipe can still get a possible superfight with Jon Jones. If DC wins and retires, Stipe is instantly favorable to champion again as well as a superfight with Jon Jones.

These guys will stay for a pay day. Jon Jones is looking for one. Stipe said he'd fight boxers in Boxing, so he is looking for one as well.

Does anyone know what Stipe means when he says his eye still has "spots"? Does that mean he sees balls of light or something out of that eye or that it has miscoloring in it or something? Just curious. Thanks.

stipe will have to get by tanner boser first after he disposes of greene
