Here are the approximate odds that I predict:

Kovalev -280
Ward +250

Here are the odds that I think are actually more realistic due to the fact that Ward would be WAY over his head:

Kovalev -700
Ward +750

If they actually fight, (Ward has already considered retirement after all) I can see Kovalev being more aggressive than normal (after about 2 feel out rounds) due to the fact that Ward is NOT a puncher and also because he (Krusher) would NOT want it in the hands of the judges.

Whereas Krusher straight up toyed with Pascal last time, (that was brutal...bordering on comical) he is NOT going to fuck around like that in a mega-fight against Ward.

The point is that there is MONEY to be had if the betting lines are close to what I think they may be.

Kovalev is on another level entirely compared to rusty/flat footed Ward.

Kovalev couldn't put away a fifty-year-old Bernard Hopkins, he aint putting Ward down.

The odds are gonna be way closer than your guess, op. No way Kovalev opens as an almost 3-1 favorite or Ward's line would get smashed by everyone. I don't see either guy being a significant favorite here but sharp money will be on Ward if he's enough of a dog.

Max Kellerman thinks Ward should get another fight before Kovalev

He wasn't trying to. He was clearly playing it safe, just wanting to get the win. He dominated, and could've ended that fight had he really put the foot down.

Ward has not looked like a world-beater as of late by ANY MEANS. (to say the very least)

...and that's precisely what it's going to take in order to beat Kovalev.

And as I said above, Kovalev is going to bring the fire early...in part because Ward borders on being feather-fisted...and in light of Kovalev having a STELLAR chin...that spells disaster on multiple levels for Ward.

Ward would have to put on a MASTERCLASS of boxing in order to merely take it to a decision...and Kovalev knows that.

That said, Ward has done a relatively good job of living on past success, but reality is about to catch up with him...

I imagine this fight with Ward will go the same way. Kovalev is gonna play it safe and use his range.

I wouldn't be surprised if ward was the favorite with bookies.

I think Kovalev will win though.

I think it will be around -150 Kovalev, +100 or near even Ward.

Doubt Andre Ward is fighting Kovalev next. He probably has 1 more tune-up fight.

He will fight Kovalev in 2017

Even with him being out for Cotto/Canelo, both camps have said they expect it at the end of 2016.

This year.

With Kovalev there is a RECENT and wide array of fights to gauge him as a fighter, (it's plain to see that he's a fucking beast) whereas...who knows what's up with Ward.

Yes, he just won in a fight in which he dominated every round (except for maybe one of them) but...Kovalev would've knocked out Barrera with relative ease, so...

Anyway. The bottom line is that...IF the odds are close, there is $$$ to be had.

Kovalev is going to force him to FIGHT...(in part because Ward isn't going to get respect with his non-power) which spells DOOM for Ward.
