Pre/Post Work out foods.

I have an intestinal disease which occasionally requires me to adhere to a very strict diet (pretty much a strict paleo with a few differences). This means no whey, no dairy. I have been drinking a protein shake PWO with milk, banana, whey but I guess I am back on the diet tomorrow.

What do you strict paleo guys do? That may work for me also. If not what would be another easy choice? I usually have to bust ass to work after WO.

Whole food. Meat. Precook it if you don't have time after a workout to cook.
 
Rice protein, egg protein, beef protein - all mixed with water. Or like already said, real food.
