PPL who can beat weidman at middleweight

you can always spot Anderson's biggest fans by how badly they try to diminish Weidman.

I think they have less confidence in Anderson then his biggest haters and if they get their way they will steer his career around everyone who poses an interesting style challenge while arguing why the Bisping's of the world deserve their shot.

IMO that is so sad. The only fan base in the world I know of where they want their guy to avoid his stylistically tougher divisional matchups instead wanting to see him pound them down and prove he is the best.

I think Anderson ko's Weidman but I want to see it done and not to have him avoid the fight so we can just proclaim him better.

It is definitely interesting how Bisping suddenly became so popular on the internet as soon as people could whine he should have beaten Chael and thus deny Chael's opportunity for a rematch that made a lot of Anderson fans nervous.

And here they are...

since anderson nut-huggers see how badly silva and his camp want the bisping fight, they're trying to build the count up to be something he's not, so when the fight happens they can claim the spider beat the consensus #2 mw. they're probably the same ones who're praising chael now and saying that he was great, despite the fact that they constantly said he didn't deserve a rematch in the first place.

silva nut-huggers won't be denied the dubious honor of being the fanbase that is most full of sh't on sherdog.

Well you'd think people would have learned their lesson with Fedor....

Oh well.

Anderson Silva
Hector Lombard
Michael Bisping
Vitor Belfort
Alan Belcher (maybe)
Chael Sonnen
Yushin Okami (maybe)

He beats them all except maybe Silva and Bisping. Palhares...lol he wouldn't get the take down Weidman would back away from him pulling guard and he would tool him on the feet. Without question

more of this bisping non-sense. have people even watched him fight, or is this all based on sherdog hype? the guy barely managed to scrape by brian f'n stann, and his route to victory was holding brian up against the fence for most of the fight. bisping wouldn't last 5 minutes with lombard.

So that affects his chances vs Weidman?

weidman has a better grappling game than sonnen, then same guy that dominated bisping in that department, and he has more power in his gnp. he's not going to get held against the fence like stann did, and he's a threat to finish via tko or sub.

Id say any of them at this point. We havent seen him that much tbh. He looked great vs. munoz, not so much against maia. Before that he beat....i think joker guymon? He could be the next champ, or he could be the next overhyped ex-contender

Bisping's lost every big fight of his career. His recent hype is near incomprehensible.

Bisping is very hard to take down and even with his lack of power his boxing is pretty good. I wouldn't favor him but he would have a reasonable chance

I think beating a Top MW on a week's notice without any training camp whatsoever is pretty great.

But that's just me.

Don't agree, it's more of a nuthugger v delusional bandwagon fan base type of issue.

Anderson has proven himself time and time again, just because haters can't get it through their thick skulls that the dude is actually good doesn't mean that everyone is blindly swinging

Weidman poses a threat, but for that regard so does everyone. The thing about Bisping is that he is an established fighter who has only lost to elite fighters (save for Sonnen, great wrestler but records speak). This doesn't mean I'd rather watch AS v Bisping, I don't care who he fights. Weidman is next in line w/e, let AS knock him down I say.

The thing is who the heck has Weidman beat to get so much hype? Name one well rounded fighter. Anderson is going to be his first well rounded fighter in the UFC. First well rounded fighter has quadruple the fights as you and just so happens to be the most dominate fighter in the UFC. Lol ok... That is vcash in the bank imo

What JJBB in MMA has he defeated?

What wrestler has beaten Anderson in the UFC?

he's usually not that hard to take down, he's good at scrambling and getting back up. that wouldn't mean sh't against weidman though because of the huge advantage he has in terms of grappling. weidman is also bigger and stronger than the majority of fighters bisping has faced, so he won't get muscled around the way guys like stann, rivera, and miller were.

I agree Weidman wins but it's not an easy fight. Neither is Lombard but I still think Weidman takes that fight. Palhares and Belfort though? Wrestling and striking clinics respectively

Here is a guarantee I am willing to make.

If Bisping loses to Vitor and Tim Boetsch beats Constantinos Philippou the same Anderson fans who were already trashing Boetsch as a garbage potential win for Weidman and suggesting even with a win over him, Weidman still needed to beat another top 10 MW before deserving Anderson, will suddenly start arguing Boetsch deserves the title shot ahead of Weidman.

Anderson fans do not want to see him against someone who can do to him what Lutter did but with a gas tank and a real threat of finishing from that spot. Lutter, SOnnen1, Sonnen2 and Hendo all put Anderson in very bad spots at the start of those fights. Weidman is a true threat if he can repeat the Lutter performance without gassing.

And because of that Anderson fans only want contenders who will stand with him. Sadly they do not have the confidence in Anderson that even many who are neutral on him do.

I think all Jones fans want to see him fight every top LHW. Especially the ones people think can beat him.

I think every GSP fan wants to see him fight every top WW. Especially the ones people think can beat him.

I think that goes for the fans of every champ except the core group of Anderson fans we see here who argue only for easier fights for him.

I could've misread your post, but are you asking what jiu jistu black belt has Weidman defeated in MMA?

that's so funny. you claim that weidman hasn't beat anyone well rounded...who has silva beaten that was well rounded?

sonnen - 1 dimensional wrestler
okami - relies primarily on his grappling
belfort - 1 dimensional striker
maia - bjj specialist
leites - bjj
henderson - brawler
lutter - bjj

also, weidman isn't just a "wrestler" in the vein of a chael sonnen. he is far more diverse and has more weapons at his disposal than "power-double followed by top control".

yeah, bisping is a scrappy s.o.b. he would probably survive to the final bell, but i wouldn't be shocked if weidman caught him with a sub.
