the obstruction with comey combined with russian interference is more than enough. it was certainly enough to freak the FBI out and launch investigations into trump and his team when he let comey go to stop the russia investigation, which he even admitted to doing in that interview.

i really don't understand trump's power he has over conservatives. they throw around accusations of communism then wear shirts that say "i'd rather be russian than a democrat." it's really pure and utter insanity. my only explanation of how this is happening is just straight up racism. but not the kind of racism that's just hating non white people. they want a return to the glory days of white people firmly at the top and able to do whatever they want. they feel threatened about losing their dominance in society and they'll support even a mad tyrant like trump and a fuckin dictator like putin to do it.

but the real issue isn't should he be impeached. everyone knows he should. the real issue is how far is this right wing takeover of government going to go. and so far, their motives, ambitions and ideas seem to be for a total takeover. the mistake of conservatives is thinking they can control trump. at some point, he's going to turn on them, and the mad tyrant will be too powerful to stop at some point.

it's a story as old as time. but apparently we stopped paying attention to our history classes and we delude ourselves into thinking shit like that can never happen again.

That’s an information charging Michael Cohen. It makes numerous allegations (just as you are doing here). Cohen later stipulated to certain facts as part of his plea in exchange for lenient treatment. It’s not proof of anything except that Michael Cohen was charged.
Audio tape.

Reimbursement payments.

Possibly. Remember, facts are not possibilities either. There currently are no facts. Only possibilities.

Also...this is not an impeachable offense. Its far far less than what Clinton did with Lewinsky as that was an active attempt at a cover-up for a deed done while in office...literally in the office lol.

I can also see this turning into a way to put the pornstar into prison for blackmail as that is what it was, a blackmail payment to a person demanding money to be silent.
Reimbursement payments.

Audio tapes.

Also, it's a fact that he fired Comey in order to stop the Russia investigation. We know this because he publicly stated it was the reason. That's absolutely obstruction of justice.

Also, it's a fact

Your opinion, against the media information you are mis-using. Which is fact, which is not? Yours are not facts. This is why you keep repeating yourself and not providing links to any actual facts...

If you cant provide facts, stop replying to me because I dont care about what you think is true or not. At this point you are just trying to derail the thread with opinion.

The circumstantial evidence, and the lies Trump has told to protect even those proven before he was blindsided with discovery of them, are quite substantial. The meeting itself, including its participants, as well as everything else we have discovered about their dealings, should alarm any patriotic American that Trump had no respect for protecting America if there was something to be gained for himself.

I don't see how the circumstances shown allow for the inferences you've made. What's wrong with seeking "dirt" on a political opponent? How does that establish "conspiracy and collusion with the Russian government," let alone "treason?" The entire meeting, as alleged in the press, sounds like a lobbying effort. When you throw in the fact that Veselnitskaya was employed by Fusion GPS and her connection to Obama officials, the circumstantial evidence actually incriminates people like Adam Schiff (especially given his undisclosed contacts with Glenn Simpson). IMO, any patriotic American would recognize this whole "Russian Collusion" narrative is total BS.

lol nice Pivot by AOC.."We shouldn't be worried about "Collusion Collusion Collusion" we should be focused on "Taxes Taxes Taxes" "...ok so disregard the last 2 years of empty bullshit. I think Trump was being melodramatic with his "Witch Hunt" comments but it is really starting to look like it. They are just desperately looking for ANYTHING to be able to say "Ha! Got ya!"

I suppose my threshold for high crimes and misdemeanors is higher than others but I really believe the threat of impeachment has been overused since the Clinton term. Every president now gets threatened with this by the opposing party almost as soon as they enter office at this point. Our terms are shorter than other countries so I think outside of something fairly large, the opposing party should focus on beating that president in the following election. That usually is the point of the threat however. It can be used as a campaign tactic to shroud the sitting president as corrupt, whether warranted or not.

In regards to Trump, I've always been for the Mueller investigation to continue to the final report. I don't believe anything at this point calls for an impeachment but there's been information revealed that likely makes voters reconsider choosing Trump in 2020.

This.

I really want to know what's in that report.

The problem is that with the new AG, I don't think we'll find out EVERYTHING that's on there. (and that's if he reveals anything)

Yea, I never thought there was the possibility of it never being public. That's a load of garbage if it happens. Obviously we will know the end result of who got indicted and who didn't but you can't have that high level of an investigation and then not release the majority of it to the public.

lost at using Vox as a reference for anything

that's why Trump won, right there

I agree with this but it's not why Trump won, though.

Left-wing bias will be why Trump wins again, though. o_O

Anybody else surprised by the poll results so far? I thought we'd have more yes votes. I wonder how many of those voting no expect more to come out that would eventually change their opinions.

I'm not really all that surprised.

But you have to remember that each person that votes "No" have different reasons for voting that way. o_O

I vote "No" because I feel it's a damn Witch-Hunt in an attempt to get him out of office. A "Political Hit Job", if you will.

Others vote "No" with the caveat that in the absence of actual Proof, it remains their choice until such proof is revealed, and thus the "No" vote switches to "Yes".

The words spoken on the audio tape are factual evidence of complicity by Trump in the felony hush money payments.

The checks are proof of Trump knowing about the payoffs, because he is repaying said money.

It's a fact that Trump fired James Comey in order to stop the Russia investigation.

It's my opinion that that constitutes Obstruction of Justice.

We'll see how it all shakes out. But, my first 3 sentences are facts.

Fixed that for you since you dont even have the deranged media behind you on it.

Provide proof that says the media is wrong...good luck.
Continue to deny objective reality all you want, but it won't change things.

Cheers.
