You should come here to PEI and try ours. I'd be interested in the comparison.

I will see what I can do about the recipe.

PEI is the second last* province you come to before you get to the Atlantic Ocean, more or less*. It stands for Prince Edward Island. We have incredible corn here. Could be incredible in other places, mind you, not dissing Iowa or whatever, but it's as juicy and sweet as... well, I don't want @Gregolian to hate me any more than he already does, so I'll just say I like it very much.

*For any offended Nova Scotians or prospective pedants, Nova Scotia comes before PEI when moving West to East, hence "second last... you come to...." is accurate even though there are parts of Nova Scotia that are East of PEI.

I would bring Swabian potato salad. And some Habanero peppers to give people to try (connoisseurs and victims alike).

Cook potatoes and cut them into slices. It's important you use waxy potatoes. Then prepare the dressing: Slice a large onion, briefly (!) cook it in beef broth, add a large teaspoon of mustard, add brandy vinegar (it has to be both a bit sour and savoury), add salt and pepper. Mix and wait a while. You need a sufficient amount of dressing as the salat is ideal when it is a bit squishy.

I don’t really grill anything. I’ve made eel sushi a couple of times. Could bring rum also.
