I wonder if he was injured when he bashed his face into the mat in that scramble early on, as they were speculating. His posture was stiff and upright, he was throwing telegraphed kicks with no set up and got taken down repeatedly as if taken completely by surprise then he just seemed to give up on the ground. That was probably the worst performance I've seen in the HW division since Kimbo Slice.

I don't know how they didn't mention it during the fight, but Potts yelled (quite loudly) when he failed on his uchimata, and landed on the back of his neck. I honestly thought they were goign to stop it right then and there, but then nobody mentioned the yell.

There's no doubt he was injured from it.

It was easily the worst fight in the UFC in terms of skill being displayed since Palelei vs. Krylov almost exactly 1 year ago. At least that one wasn't on TV though. That fight yesterday was embarassing to watch

I believe he was trying to shrimp out but was unsuccessful. His bruising reminded me of Igor Vovchanchyn's side. I believe it was during one of his fights with Mark Kerr but I could be wrong. Either way don't think we'll see Potts back in the UFC with two lackluster performances.
