last year the only fights that really mattered were DC vs Jones 2, GSP vs Bisping, TJ vs Cody and Max vs Aldo.

This year we know:

-Ngannou vs Miocic
-Max vs Edgar
-Khabib s Tony
-TJ vs DJ
-DC vs miocic
Rockhold vs Romero

Potentially:

Conor vs Khabib/tony winner?
Max vs Ortega?
Nate Diaz return?
Woodley vs Till?
Cormier vs Gus 2?
TJ vs Cody 2?
TJ vs Jimmy rivera ?
Cain vs Miocic?
woodley vs Colby?
Conor vs Nate 3?
Rockhold/romero winner vs Whittaker
Jon Jones return?
Brock return?

I know the cards aren't stacked like in the past, but in the long run ppl only remember the big fights...2018 has the potential to have a lot of big fights.

In fairness to 2017's feelings, the only reason Miocic vs Ngannou "mattered" is because the UFC Hype Machine said it did.

I'm wondering how long Ortega is going to sit for after they book Frankie vs Holloway 2 and give Holloway a chance to get his belt back.

If Holloway loses to Frankie I don't think he'll get an immediate rematch. But who knows.

TJ vs Rivera would be good. It's a win win for Rivera. He is definiely a type that learns from his mistakes and a loss to TJ would open alor of doors for him.

And plus it's an interesting compelling fight.

But 1 more top win from him would be good. Maybe finally get that Caraway fight happening?

Cyborg vs Nunes is a big fight, from a PPV selling standpoint

2018 will feature the rise of Erik Silva, and the return of Brandon Vera on his way to become LHW and HW champ.
