But titles don't matter, only Conor matters.

When two championship belts belts were being contested at a single event, it used to be that the heavier weight class was the fight that headlined.

But the UFC decided that Conor McGregor fighting for an interim belt was more important than the actual WW title, and so he headlined UFC 189 vs Chad Mendes.

Similarly, his title fight with Aldo at UFC 194 headlined over the MW title fight.

By the time UFC 196 rolled around, it didn't matter that McGregor wasn't fighting for a belt at all, he got the top spot over the WBW fight for the belt.

When the biggest event in UFC history was approaching, again McGregor wasn't fighting for a title, but he was made the main event at UFC 200, over the multiple title fights that were scheduled for the card.

The UFC has marketed a single fighter as being more important than anyone on their entire roster and the validity of their championship titles.

How could any amount of title fights possibly replace him at UFC 200 now that they have shown the fans that they have nothing more important than him to offer? They undermined the validity of their organization out of greed and it's gonna bite them in the ass hard.

There will be at least 36 fights from Thursday to Saturday. And I bet UFC 200 is still the best card ever result wise because of the amount of good match ups.
