Hey guys, I just cut 12 lbs in 2 days to get to 170 for a sub only tourney. I wouldn't have normally cut that much but there was some confusion as to what the weight classes are.

Anyway, what would be the best thing to eat the night before the tourney tomorrow?

Things that are low in fat/grease and calories, high in protein and carbs - 0% greek yogurt, 1% cottage cheese (they have more protein in one serving than a steak), a banana

1 gram of Carbs holds approximately 4 grams of water. Since you need to gain water weight back, eat lots of carbs.

Carbs carbs and carbs. Get some Pedialite too, try to sip it, though it's almost impossible.

I usually try to only eat a lot of carbs but I cut like a sonofabitch to make 145 for an mma fight today but when I got there I found out my guy backed out. Tonight I ate a bacon cheeseburger and a steak. I didn't really feel like eating it but I had been telling myself that I would get it this time after my weigh ins. So now I have gone from uncomfortably hungry to uncomfortably full, but at least now I weigh 165.

No, I'd stay away from greasy stuff though, unless you like shitting yourself in public (not as much fun as it sounds, but hey to each his own). Steak is good because of all of the iron, and hopefully you'd have enough time to (ahem) pass it.

Really the only thing i'd stay away from is milk and cheese which tends to ball up in your stomach and make you feel bloated.

lol... I've never done weigh ins the night before... I so would've totoally been at popeyes eating spicy chicken, creamy... make that extra creamy coleslaw, etc..... especially if I cut 12 lbs like OP.

good thing I saw this thread before I ever do anything like this. I once cut from 165 to 150 for a tournament in 2 weeks and I was miserable... I was eating straight tuna and brocoli, like no sodium...I was yelling at people for little things during the weight cut, my pee was neon yellow and I always got the spins when I sat up from lying down... and then I was bing eating for a week after....goddamn what a terrible experience.

BC - Side topic kinda, but how exactly did you do that? Just curious, as I'm sure as I lose weight I might want to drop a couple extra to sneak under a weight class.
