Very good point. It was 2-2 going into the 5th, I remember them saying that. I really wish Claudia could have pulled it out but Joanna deserved to win. Much respect to both of them. They showed heart and humility after the fight. A great showcase for WMMA.

What exactly did she do with her grappling and aggression that would outweigh such a wide striking margin? Joanna's style, to me, is a more refined, more kickboxing oriented than boxing oriented, version of like a Nick Diaz. I know it's not a great comparison but Nick isn't known for his KO power (yes, I know he KO'd Lawler) but his volumetric striking. Joanna's strikes might not look like much but by sheer volume they add up and they broke Claudia in R3, R4, and R5.
