Porn addiction.

My husband and I used to have a VHS from Playboy called Girlfriends. There was on scenario where two friends are hanging out and there's a storm outside and they comfort each other. I remember everything about that scene.

Now we come to random post time of the thread.

Tell me more.

Did you live in that time where there was no internet porn ? Man, being 21 I so don't know what that shit was like. People had to look at pictures and magazines and shit... What was ''porn'' like in these days ?

I havent seen Shame. Yes porn addiction is real. Anything can become an addiction. My experiences with addiction went kind of like the beginning was 100% pleasure and by the end 5% pleasure 95% pain. Theres a whole lotta moralistic and societal issues concerning the porn industry but Im not inherently against it if all parties are willing and it isnt overtly harming the consumer. Most people in life are functioning addicts as is so que sera.

Anytime you find yourself repeatedly doing something you hate, its an addiction.

Either that, or you're at work.

Porn addiction definitely exists. Something can be psychologically addicting rather than physically addicting.

Personally, I think that porn is overall a net negative for society, especially now that the Internet is here. Back in the day when "looking at porn" meant you had a few magazines stashed in the closet or you had a few VHS tapes, that was one thing. But now that it's so easily accessible in such vast quantities, it's much easier for the shit to get out of hand.

Then on top of that, it's not just that porn is out there, it's also the KIND of porn that's out there. You can basically find material for any perversion and many people have found that their drive for porn got weirder and more bizarre as time went on, which ultimately had a negative psychological effect on them.

If you think you are addicted to something, then spend 3 weeks without it.

If you can't do it, then yes, you are addicted.

Summarizes my views upon the subject.

I watch a lot of porn I once read something about a porn addiction it got me worried and I went a couple of months without watching it or even masturbating.

And yes, I do have a girlfriend and I don't live in my moms basement

It's a lot less of a blow to the system (pun intended) giving up porn or jerking it when you have a girl sucking your dick on the regular.

I sometimes prefer porn to actual sex. If my gf and I fuck, it's at least 40 minutes with no guarantee that I'll get off. Plus a shower afterwards which is problematic when I work the following day. Not to mention washing the sheets, avoiding the wet spots while we try to sleep, and keep it quiet to not wake the kids up.

Porn also allows she and I to experiment new positions, scenarios and role playing. I also get variety out of it since I can fap to any race I want. Today for example...it was asian porn after the Waterson/PVZ fight.

I love porn. And that will never change.

If your porn viewing is out of control, there is probably a bunch of other stuff in your life you can't handle either. I enjoy some good porn now and then but will go two weeks without now and then as an exercise in will power.

anti-porn circle jerk? What has Sherdog come to.

"Pornography “acts as a polydrug,” Struthers explains. As Dr. Patrick Carnes asserts, pornography is “a pathological relationship with a mood-altering experience.” Boredom and curiosity lead many boys and men into experiences that become more like drug addiction than is often admitted.

Why men rather than women? As Struthers explains, the male and female brains are wired differently. “A man’s brain is a sexual mosaic influenced by hormone levels in the womb and in puberty and molded by his psychological experience.” Over time, exposure to pornography takes a man or boy deeper along “a one-way neurological superhighway where a man’s mental life is over-sexualized and narrowed. This superhighway has countless on-ramps but very few off-ramps.

It is addictive, has a bigger effect than some drugs actually. That's why you'll see people struggling to stop watching porn in reddit and almost killing themselves.

When I watch porn it's usually 20 minutes of browsing, trying to decide which one to watch, and then 63 seconds of actually watching it.

Is this the same with masturbation using imagination, or just dreaming about sex?

Can you also be addicted to just that?

Also do girls watch porn too?

Been feeling shitty lately about not being master of my domain. Just set my phone for a countdown. Challenge accepted.

Well Ted Bundy blamed his murder spree on his addiction to violent pornography. At first I thought he was just full of shit but honestly give his last interview a watch it can be found on YouTube he makes some very weird yet convincing points.
