Porier vs Pettis

Good fight. I think it will go the distance. Despite popular belief, Poirier's chin is still strong. It's holding up, I think that last TKO from Holloway was the first time Pettis' has been stopped due to strikes.

Pettis getting finished by Max was a testimony of him not fitting in at 145. At Lw he'll be at a more comfortable weight and his style can always be unorthodox and troublesome for most.

tough fight for pettis who's on a tough streak losing 4 of his last 5, should they keep throwing him in the fire against the toughest guys or give him a break like when he fought da bronx. look at his last 10 or so fights, all killers

Porier isn't even top 5, and Showtime needs guys top ten to stay relevant. He's the former champ, he can't fight scrubs.

i like the fight but porier is a despite the rankings, i think its more of a testament how deep the division is. im just worried that pettis has a lot of wear and tear and may have lost some confidence recently. maybe give him a break, like a denis siver then have him jump back into the mix

Showtime has been on the shelf for awhile now. He needs to get in fight shape again and fight the best. That's when we saw Showtime Pettis.

Denis Siver should only be a sloshed for a BJ Penn scrap at this point.

Good call. Pettis stops him early unless he's completely shot.

Good point. The weight cuts to FW definitely drained Pettis.

Like it or not, despite people's protests, Pettis is HEAVY, almost 15 lbs heavier than McGregor at one point. All the talk of "He can't make it at LW anymore" doesn't justify moving down to 145 lolz. Pettis should get gooder, improve his boxing and wrestling defense.
