I used to have them in my yard when I lived in Maine.
They're not as big when the quills are relaxed.

When I was roughly nine I was randomly kicking the grass only to feel severe pain that lasted days. I never told anyone and on my leg were enlarged pores of dried blood that took weeks to disappear.

I went back to said site to discover what I kicked what was a dead hedgehog. Stuffs no joke.
