Pope opened a huge can of worms by allowing divorced and remarried Catholics back to the Church apparently. This is a huge deal it used to require having the previous marriage annulled in ordered to get remarried in the church. Pope Frances is correct making this change do to annullments problems.

Annullments became a joke because the only people who were getting annullments where wealthy chuch contributors. Others could not get exception because they did not have connections in the chuch.

This could be the biggest change in chuch policy in a hundred years. Many Catholics will be mad that Pope Frances has opened this door. It's a big deal that will be very popular with many many remarried Catholics but many will be mad over this change.

If the absence of God existing results in people acting like this.... then please God, exist!

We are all sinners. We should all be welcome in church. Unless you are some church troublemaker, then the church has to kick you out.

I think this is the view that Pope Francis takes on the matter. He is closer to chuch doctrine then conservative Catholics.

He cannot act completely on the the change without approaching the Cardinals about the policy change. I would imagine the process has started towards the changes. He likely made this announcement because decision are being worked on.

I think maybe this is only an issue to Catholics and Catholic haters. To anyone else it really doesn't matter.

Why wouldn't Catholics be for relaxing the hammer on communion for those whose divorces involved no treachery? Jesus preached forgiveness.

Keep the ban for the untrustworthy.

I agree if there was not cheating and it was amicable. They should be allowed especially if it's not repeat divorces.

I guess it's more religious to be stuck in a loveless marriage just because then to let both people go their own ways and hope they find happiness with someone else?

I'm about as Christian as a brothel, and I fucking love this Pope.

He's all tolerant, progressive, and forgiving. He's like..... an actual Christian! Would you believe it!?

Seems like a decent fellow but I can't help but feel all these new progressive ideas are due to them realizing that they are losing influence at a rapid pace never seen before.
