Crime Pompeo under investigation? For Saudi deal?

Trump firing the IG to protect Pompeo. Very transparent right Trump Supporters? Trump is just straight up trash and a criminal beyond believe.

Anything, righties?

I'm trying to figure out what fable would be the best simile for this thread:

Chicken little: an irrational fear of innocuous events.

Or?

The Boy who Cried Wolf: If you all keep screaming and crying emergency when none actually exists, no one will believe you when you try to sound the alarm for an actual emergency. Perhaps save that outrage for something worthy of getting outraged over.

In case you're curious, I'm still voting for President Trump on election day.

Oh we're fucked alright lol
We have a mega corrupt narcissist in office that knows -knows- his party views internal accountability as unacceptable. The GOP voting base feels that way.
Our only option is the general election vote. Nothing else is even remotely possible.

And even that is a little dicey. Really don't know what to expect if Trump loses. The GOP has made it clear that dissent is inherently illegitimate, and Trump himself openly regards it as illegal.

C'mon it's not like this administration has a track record of high ranking officials abusing their positions for personal gain....oh wait.

He learned that Collins will talk out of both sides of her mouth and straddle the fence in public but will ultimately do nothing because she is spineless. Not sure that is the lesson she thought she was teaching him.
She's actually one of the only GOP senators that doesn't exclusively tow the party line. You don't know what you're talking about.

This Pompeiio story is about to erupt

If he did it, I hope they nail him. Also, it's always the Saudis. We need a bipartisan reevaluation of that particular relationship imo.

Not going to happen imo.

Intent on pushing the deals through, Raytheon followed the industry playbook: It took advantage of federal loopholes by sending former State Department officials, who were not required to be registered as lobbyists, to press their former colleagues to approve the sales.

And though the company was already embedded in Washington — its chief lobbyist, Mark Esper, would become Army secretary and then defence secretary under Trump — Raytheon executives sought even closer ties.

They assiduously courted Navarro, who intervened with White House officials on Raytheon’s behalf and successfully pressured the State Department to process the most contentious deals.

They also enlisted the help of David J Urban, a lobbyist whose close ties to Esper and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo go back to the 1980s, when all three men were at West Point.
They're dug in like ticks in this administration.

Our bombs are being used in war crimes. We are actively supporting the murder of children.

Is this really all there is to it? Talk about a nothing burger...

*edit - just read edited OP*

the update seems more about Trump than Pompeo. And frankly, at this point “Democrat asks for investigation of something Trump does” - in this case “manufacturing an emergency” to get arms to the Saudi’s...lets just say I’ll remain skeptical until something of actual substance comes out.

Imagine if Obama went around firing all his IGs.

Look if you're going to investigate any Trump allies while he's President you're going to get fired and the GOP Senate will make sure that you have no recourse

And what a serious allegation we're talking about too, amirite?
