Nominees are based off the award winners of “ko of the year”. I’m assuming the Masvidal KO of Askren gets the award this year. I did take the liberty of adding a few that stood out, but weren’t given the award. If it’s not on the list please feel free to select other and post explaining/showing what/why.

Barboza/Etim for me. Most aesthetically pleasing knockout I've ever seen.

You seem to have the wrong gif for it btw lol.

Masvidal sending Askren to the shadow realm gets my vote. Not only did he put out an undefeated fighter, he did it in record time.

    Wilder vs Ortiz:

The way he KOd Oritz, a guy with next level defense, is something special.

Masvidal's knockout was something special, and to top it off he did it to an undefeated fighter. You'll never see anything like that ever again, that shit looked like it was staged for a movie. It could very well be the best knockout in the history of the sport.

I agree aesthetically it was incredible. My only reservation is the fact the it wasn’t a fight that had huge implications. But by the criteria of the KO with no context of the fights, I have to agree

I got to think about this one, but I'm leaning towards Masvidal KO on Askren.

    Knee: Jorge/Ben

All other are great but not as elegant & sophisticated as these 4 imo.

KO of the Decade was Uriah Hall's spinning kick KO on Adam Cella.

Hollys KO of Ronda is #1 imo, it had a good vs evil wicked witch vibe. I thought the bar i was at was going to collapse with all the cheering

I certainly thought about it. Understandably I had to be so extremely picky for this thread or simply put, it would be too much. The only reason I left it out was the hugging and weird affairs prior to the KO. I agree it deserved the mention for sure because the raw creativity was nuts
