Elections Poll: Biden would beat every other Democratic candidate in a one-on-one race

Biden is a familiar name, so no surprise here.

Yet the news and media can create a self-fulfilling prophecy by reinforcing Biden's popularity, thereby undermining the rest of the field. It's perfectly fine to report on polls, but coverage of the major candidates should be more or less even for all.

Please, please, please let him be the nominee.
Bet the Fox News aligning right wouldn't want Tulsi to be the nominee , cause she isn't easy to dismiss like Biden.

Biden is just to old, and has been part of the establishment for to long.

That said Biden is the true threat to a Bernie/Trump showdown. And if Biden becomes nominee, we get 4 more years of Trump. Gotta love the establishment dems, they prefer 4 more year of Trump than an actual progressive.

This argument made more sense during the 2016 primaries when polls were showing Clinton in a statistical dead heat against Trump and Bernie leading him by double digits.

But now we're seeing (God help us) Biden further out ahead of Trump than Sanders. This time support for the corporatist candidate looks more like a party establishment "have your cake and eat it, too" moment.

anyone but Bernie or Warren is gonna annihilate Trump at the polls, if the economy goes to shit over the next year, even those two will beat him. Trump has a tiny window again to win, if Biden is the nominee, he wins Pennsylvania and Michigan and that's a wrap.

<Lmaoo>

Biden will win...first he would grab all the female candidates and whisper in their ears until they run away leaving Sanders as the rest of the men running are scrubs. Sanders will lose because of his heavy Socialism stances.

Oh.

I still don't get why trump calls him "Sleepy."

Seems pretty spry and fit for a guy his age.

The whole name calling bit needs to go, IMO
Probably for sleeping through his political career.

I have to agree with Sanders supporters that this narrative is being beaten into our head: Biden will win so nobody should even try. Here it is again.

A new poll suggests there might not be an anti-Biden vote to consolidate.

Former vice president Joe Biden’s status as the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 is highlighted in a new poll, which suggests he is not only the current favorite in the crowded field of candidates, but that he would remain the favorite even if he were running against a single Democratic opponent.

The poll (conducted by Republican firm Echelon Insights) asked 1,005 Democrats — and independents who favor Democrats’ policies — about their preferred 2020 candidates. The poll found 38 percent of respondents would vote for Biden if the primary were to be held right now. This is well in line with other polls; as Vox’s Dylan Scott reported, most polls show around 40 percent of voters saying they are backing the former vice president.

The Echelon poll found support for Bernie Sanders to be at 16 percent, and that four candidates: Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Beto O’Rourke, and Kamala Harris were each supported by 5 percent of respondents. No other candidate was at more than 2 percent, with 16 percent undecided.

Here is a hit piece by CNBC that just came out too:

I think the dems should settle their primary with a hot oil wrestling (co-Ed of coarse) match. It gets to the heart of their platform way quicker than than all the gibberish, hypocrisy and double talk.

It's four more years regardless. No one you have can step to President Trump.
Sanders, Gabbard, and Yang would slampig Trump in a debate and make him look like the con-man he is. That said, Yang and Gabbard won't get close, and it looks like the fix is beginning for Biden, so sadly we'll probably never know.
