police have 11 hour armed stand-off with an empty house

Cecil People scored it for the neighbors house.

Oh my god this got me chuckling. Imagine how dumb they felt. And whoever was in charge of the stand off.

But hey we all make mistakes.

I hope hope hope HOPE they spent ten of those hours yelling into a bullhorn, trying to get the people inside to negotiate.

"Okay, fine! We'll give you a helicopter! Are you happy now? Will you come to the negotiating table?" Puts bullhorn down, wipes brow. "Wow, they are good. Unflappable."

rofl.

between this and cops posing as panhandlers and busting people that give money, i dont know what the cops are working harder at.

This standoff seems much more competent in comparison

I think they entered the house prematurely.

No one said cops were smart.

On a positive note, it's easier to plant drugs inside when no ones home.

We laugh at this, and it is funny as fuck, but it also says something about one of this country's ideals, that the home of a citizen should be protected from unlawful search as much as possible. That the government/police should not be able to just kick your door in because no one answered it.

Granted maybe the cops did something stupid in this particular incident, I'm not sure, all I know is that Putin for example, ain't havin' no 11 hour standoffs with no one.

Let me guess SWAT, military, police, etc. They tried to talk down the perpetrator but he wouldn't bite. They thought he/she was a professional and had snipers waiting on multiple rooftops. They tried to break down the door but it was that old English oak so they backed up farther and thought this is a specialist. Hundreds of officers surrounding the perimeter were in awe of the confidence this suspect possessed in keeping cool. Then they all simultaneously breached the home from all side breaking windows, doors, entire walls, smoke bomb when the dust settled they came to the conclusion this is an expert wardrobe escape artist that must have hidden in the smoke and walked away dressed as a cop..................................

Part 2 coming soon, state wide lockdown.

Same thing happened just 2 houses down from me a couple months back. Police blocked off the area, we're calling for people to come out for hours. No one was inside. Never heard what it was all about. I thought about making a thread about it while it was happening, but it wasn't all that exciting.

Was it the house from that movie "House"? That House is a bad ass.
