i havent seen any threads on this fight(and i looked), how come? i think this gonna be a great fight, im taking poirier round 2 ko/tko
 
Only seen 2-3 of Brandao's fights. Decently skilled.

But regardless I think Poirier will lose. He's a hard worker and puts it all on the line, but he's just not as durable. He's durable, but NOT just as durable... But then again only seen 2-3 of Brandao's fights, so who knows lol.
 
Yup I don't think Brandao is ready for him. Poirier really impressed the hell out of me against Koch. I didn't expect that kind of dominance in the first round. Brandao is going to have to try to put Dustin away early and historically that's not been an easy task.

If Poirier could hang in there with Cub and KZ for a few rounds I highly doubt Brandao will manage to stop him. I think it's quite plausible, conversely that Poirier checks that chin and stops Brandao on the ground.

Yea I referred to him correctly later in the post but I guess I have that co main fresh on my mind lol.

Diego is a tough dude don't get me wrong but I don't know if it's easy to argue he's more durable than Dustin. KZ is a killer, no shame in losing to him like that deep in the fight. Brandao hasn't been stopped in a long time but I believe he's been knocked out or tkod three to four times in his career.

yea they're both really tough, i'd probably favor diego on the ground but on the feet i think dustin will be to fast for him
 
Poirier is gonna destroy Brandao. Brandao has proved he cant get past his stamina issues, there's a reason why the dude's got 8 losses on his record
 
I agree with other comments on this thread.

Diego is dangerous for one round, then after that Poirier annihilates him thru conditioning and attrition.

He's 4-1 in the UFC against better competition than the 7 guys he lost to prior so your point kinda fails.

I doubt Poirier finishes him like you guys are saying, even against a gassed Diego. Either Diego finishes Dustin or fight goes to decision after a 3round war.

Predicting a close split decision.
 
Poirier is getting the win bonus. Brandao has cardio issues. The first round will be a barnburner though
 
I hope Brandao Knocks him out. Go Brazillian Mormons!
