Dustin acknowledges that he got greedy and left him self open instead of intelligently picking Eddie apart until the finish came naturally. Plans to fight smart and not get sloppy. Recognizes his stylistic advantages over Eddie.

Eddie on the other hand seems to be the same as always. He's going in ready to get the shit beaten out of him until he lands one of his miracle shots.

show and prove Dustin, he really did have Alvarez dead to rights then fucked up.

I do see Poirer piecing him up again tho, worse this time actually.

This has. Fight of the Year... plus. Knockout of the Year written all over it. Be here ( Sherdog discussion ) or be square...

His striking has been crazy good lately. He's sharp as hell and just as technical. As long as he doesn't get clipped like last time he should win this.

With that said...Edward has some kind of deal with Satan going on. No human being is built to be punched that much.

I see Eddie winning this, Dustin will get hit with the hand that derailed RDA and be on his way to be wrestlefucked by Khabib.

Poirer is a good fighter, but he's been a little overconfident lately.

Gotta root for Eddie on this one. He showed proper adjustments in the Gaethje fight, though Justin is a punching bag.

He's confident but realistic. He's not blind to his faults. I think whatever he is doing is working out well. He's been great recently.

If Dustin brawls with Eddie then Eddie will eat his lunch. That's what caused Justin to lose. No one will out brawl Eddie.

I think if Dustin stays patient and keeps Eddie on the outside then he'll win this.

Dustin will take care of business probably finish by R3. He is the better fighter, although I find both fighters scrappy and entertaining.

The weight cut beat RDA more than Alvarez did, he could not make 155 and almost died before one of his last fights at 155.

Sure is shaping up to be a war.

So much on the line for both guys. Contracts., Title shots. Redemption. Calgary fans are in for a treat. Routing for Poirier but i won't be surprised if he gets finished brutally. This is a do or die for both guys. Poirier loses and it sets him back years from a title shot. Alvarez loses and his leverage for that big pay raise is cut in half. DO OR DIE!

WAR ALVAREZ VS POIRIER!

Possible. But I'm rooting for Dustin. He deserves it more imo.
Meh, I can see why you'd say that but he only has 1 other win over Eddie since their fight and it is someone Eddie easily manhandled for 5 rounds. Dustin fought a shell of that before Pettis just beat Cheisa with some style. Also they both beat Justin, this fight is definitely would prove who deserves more if anything.

Yeah, but RDA was still a monster at 155. And he was winning that fight till Eddie hit that shot (same can be said about a lot of fights but still) I was just stating that Eddie can put Dustin out. I think RDA would maul Dustin or Eddie in a rematch if he could make weight to even fight at 155 again.

Eddie looked like crap against Pettis imo. Both are very good but Eddie hasn't done anything that would make me think that he deserves another title shot.

But whoever wins this has all rights to fighting Khabib.

It'll be great!

It will be. Hoping for a FOTN or KO of the night. Would be fitting for a fight like this, since Eddie is letting loose and Dustin's striking is pretty nice. I just like Eddie a bit more for the rematch.

For sure. It is no secret that I do not care for Eddie so, naturally I'm rooting for Dustin. Still, personal bias aside, I do think Dustin just has the right style to beat Eddie.

If this goes 5 rounds then I will be beyond shocked

Yeah, I don't order many fights anymore but I will definitely watch this one if I'm not at work. Both guys have so much to gain and so much to lose. It should be great for however long it lasts.
