There are obviously many comparisons one can draw between Poirier and Bisping. But one I just thought of... Luke Rockhold had easily finished Bisping a couple years before they rematched... same deal with Conor easily putting away Poirier years ago by now. What if Poirier has the ultimate Rocky Balboa journeyman type redemption story on January 23rd?

He wins and doesn't get a belt?

They both look much better with hair

Rockhold played into Bispings Strength (striking). Rockhold is an inferior striker to Bisping, kicks aside. Rockhold is ridiculiously arrogant in his abilities and has a questionable chin.

I expect Dustin will end up playing to Conors strength (striking). Conon is a superior striker to Dustin. Conor is more confident in his abilities than arrogant and seems to have a decent chin.

Simliarity: Semi well-rounder without offensive grappling

Difference: Bisping is a former champ which Dustin will never be.

Some general similarities in their styles + both are durable over achievers etc. The first fight didn’t determine much imo too many strikes to the back of the head that said the matchup still favors Conor if he brings his A game he wins again by tko
