Adolf Hitler and Charlie Chaplin look like brothers

Louis the 14th, William 3 and James 2 all went to war with one another yet they all look like thesame dude playing dressup

Paris had street lights in the 1800s

WW1 happened because a driver took a wrong turn. WW2 happened because Hitler didn't get into art school. Vietnam was likely started due to misunderstanding.

There are more Celtic countries in the UK England than English.

The French won America their independence from the British........yet the Americans never mention.
The Americans played a (significant) part in defeating the Nazis in WW2 ......lot more vocal about that one.
The French also had big Empire

It think second only to the British. I guess the sun didn't set in the French Empire either.

They get a bad rep as "cowards" but the French military is one of the most successful in human history.

You can see the influence remains in France to this day.

Hardly. France didn’t get involved until very late in the war.

Saying France won America their independence is like saying America saved Europe in WWII.

Not at all.

Majority of historians will tell you without France (and to a lesser extent Spain), the US would have next to no chance in War of independence.

American involvement was obviously key in WW2 in Europe, and certainly helped shorten the conflict, at the same time the Germans would have almost certainly been defeated without their involvement.

This has got to be my favorite:

I note that regarding the second last one, the right hand column could also have said "he was in" rather than with lol but I appreciate their decorum. I've seen this list before except that I don't recall the 2 x 2 birthdays 100 years apart part (giggle).
