Happy YOU Year & all that Other than a few random Rogan podcasts i've never took advantage of this medium & i was wondering if you good folks of the Mayb would be interested in sharing which podcasts you enjoy tuning in to? I'm curious to try checking out a Kevin Smith Smodcast, for example, as i find him really interesting & funny. BUT i'm so not into cartoons, comicbooks & superheroes. Anyone listened in to him, is he worth checking out? Anyways I await your fine reviews & suggestions & am prepared to be enlightened
I'm not a fan of Richard Herring, I don't think he's that funny; but I love the guests he gets on his Leicester Sq Theatre podcasts (Charlie Brooker, Stewart Lee, David Michell, Graham Linehan, League of Gentlemen, Peter Serofinowic etc etc). Serofinovicz explaining his time on Star Wars and why Episode 1 is super-racist is the funniest thing I've heard in my entire life. No probs. Luca Fury's mma gambling podcasts are also a god listen before events even if (like me) you totally ignore their advice. Nick kallikis on there knows his stuff though.
Carolla is pretty like his old format without Teresa. They have new girl. I like Greg Fitzsimmons podcast as well.
Smodcast (Kev Smith) is quality. Especially when he has Malcolm Ingram or Bryan Johnson on there. It's not nailed down to any subject in particular either, but even on topics that wouldn't usually interest me (Like comics etc) it usually makes for decent listening
2nded. Smith is a good talker and he can tell a hell of a story. It makes his podcasts worth listening to.
check out the mayberry podcast. we had one going last night. it was sort of an "anything goes" kind of thing, but we're trying to come up with ideas for fine tuning it.
I downloaded all of joe rogans podcasts, theyre free on itunes. I have to say I really only thoroughly enjoy the ones with the mma fighters on them though, an the ones with bill burr. I dont have anything against weed and stuff but sometimes they get annoying talking about it, and eddie bravo annoys the shit out of me when hes on there. Fabers, mac danzig, chael, and the barnett ones are amazing though.
The one with Chael was 10/10. I'm not a fan, but he is a charismatic and interesting guy. Barnett was good too.
