Please critique her form, is it acceptable? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jMqPf7TTv2s&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jMqPf7TTv2s&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I enjoyed the video........ With plyometric pressups, arent you meant to 'hold in the bottom position for a pause before you push bk up? eg start in the down position, hold for 2 seconds, push up explosively (so your hands leave the floor, eg like a clap or something), then go straight bk down to the down position, hold again, push up explosively, etc.... ?
Im thinking this is proper form for plyometric push up but Im not sure. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oa6Ai5ty6oY&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oa6Ai5ty6oY&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Agreed, goddamn. In regards to the first video, is there any point to doing plyometric pushups if you don't have the strength to do pushups on your toes? Most stuff I've read about plyometric exercise says you should have good base strength first.
No. I mean what you are saying can be a useful addition. Eliminating the stretch reflex with a pause at the bottom is certainly a helpful way to increase strength, but not the point of ply push up. Anyways these aren't plyo pushups they are assisted GHRs.
The last one actually looks like a descent nat-gluteham to me... The first I supose are suposed to be a plyometric pushup for people that dont have the strength to do normal plyo pushups, which in my humble opinion mean that you shouldnt do plyo work...
