Matching him up against Perry would be stupid at this point in their careers. Regardless of what your opinion is of each, they both have a buzz going for them.

Why kill one off when you can keep feeding Perry favorable matchups and let Al continue his Wally Beaver rage. UFC needs more names, this just keeps the hope alive.

As long as Alves hasnt lost it he should be able to win. Perry didnt have much for Ellenberger till that elbow landed and Alves is a better striker. Perry can finish him at anytime with his power but Alves is better everywhere

Perry has more hype in his 4 fights than some UFC lifers have had their entire careers. Will it translate to huge money? Probably not, but why give up all hope?

So because they lost, fuck all semblance of trying to build them up? Just feed them to the wolves?

Guys like Perry and Wally Beaver are the type of guys that can put on solid mid card fights. No point in just saying fuck em.

Please don't mistake the silliness of the trolls for hype. And how is matching them up throwing them to the wolves? Both of them built a potential fight up. Thats how the interest is made. They gave Artem Cub and that fight on paper is less competitive then this. Perry would be less hurt losing to Perry then old ass Alves btw. And vice versa with Al losing to a bigger guy
