Plane lands at the wrong airport.

It happens. At least it didn't land in 1952.

I hope they accommodated the passengers.

From the article; A few hours later, after coordinating with officials, the flight took off for Rapid City the same night.

So it took a few hours to decide to fly the 10 miles? I suppose they had to bring in another flight crew to replace the idiots who were taken off duty. This was an A320 with 130 people on board.

I'm assuming they had to file a new flight plan and have it approved.

They're lucky the plane didn't get shot down

Well...could have been worse:/

The sad thing is I have no idea where I'd invest money if I went back to 1952.

Do you have to be so technical/literal detective?! (rhetorical)

Yeah, actually.

My question was serious.

I have no idea what technologies were about to take off in the fifties.

Some company that makes water fountains and bathroom fixtures in the South. They were doing double the business back then.
