Taking my nephew to his first concert tomarrow. I've been a guitar player for about 22 years and I owe a ton of my ability to Angus Young and Slash. It sucks Brian isn't there but it's going to be interesting. I really don't care if axl sounds like shit. I want to be 10 feet away listening to those guys plug their Gibsons into the Marshalls. This is a fucking dream and it's 1991 again. Angus & Slash are legends.
To see them together on the same night is my fucking dream since I was 13. I never moved into the grunge era in the 90's. I caught the tail end of the great 80's shit since I started young. And justice For All was when it started. I was hooked on Metallica
AC/DC, GNR, Ozzy, Sabbath. I could listen to any of their albums for a month straight. I even feel old calling the shit albums but that's my youth. I do love Alice in Chains. They were brilliant, Jerry Cantrell is a riff machine and underrated as fuck. So I do like some grunge and I love The Misfits..they are fucking great, I like that style aswell. It's all their own. I don't listen to bands that sound alike.
I would pay a thousand dollars to watch Slash solo Estranged 10 feet away. That shit never leaves your soul. I've seen Ozzy every Ozzfest he did, always in the pit..probably went to 10 of them. Saw Pantera, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest...caught a broken drumstick from black label society and managed to catch a pick from the greatest..Tony Iommi. That shit is worth more than gold to me.
I usually don't make threads but I'm in a dream state right now. I ate 4 vico den and 10 neurontin, I feel like there's less gravity.
Anyway..wish me luck fellow sherdoggies and all my brother sherguitarists.
