Piers Morgan's stunning advice for his friend Donald Trump

1. Piers Morgan is a dumbass.

2. Piers Morgan is not entirely wrong.

3. Piers Morgan is not entirely right either. One narrative is that Trump was trying to be a leader, and the mass media's portrayal of Trump was completely unfair. No matter what Trump did, he was wrong to do it. Arguably, Trump's current behaviour is simply a reaction to that adversity.

Piers Morgan calls out his friend Trump over his handling of the Coronavirus outbreak. He also had some words to say about about Boris Johnson.

Piers Morgan backed both Boris and Trump. He was a big supporter of brexit. He's also anti-pc and doesn't care about offending people.

However, it appears his loyalty doesn't go far enough to defend both Boris and Trump when it comes to their handling of the Pandemic.

Cliffs:

Morgan said he's been watching Trump's daily briefings "with mounting horror" at Trump using the briefings as a political rally. He says Trump needs to be a leader for the whole country and not playing partisan politics at this time. He says trump appears to care more about winning the election than defeating the virus. "what is more important right now Donald Trump is saving American lives not winning an election." He says "both American and British administrations complacency has been extremely damaging."

Morgan's mild criticism of Orange Dear Leader proves it: Piers is a Never Trumper!

Trump is a coward. Rather than make tough decisions he basically did nothing. Blamed the governors, now trying to act like he is saving the day by ordering equipment that should have been ordered months ago. His only pre disaster stance was that it was a hoax. Then months later "he knew it the entire time". He's completely clueless because he can't simply throw money at this problem, or have his bankruptcy attorneys handle it.
The "this virus is a Democrat hoax to hurt Trump" narrative is a pretty horrible example of politicizing this pandemic.

The media was not stopping Trump from acting sooner. Trump didn't want to, because he did not take the pandemic seriously. News reports say that Jared convinced him it was no big deal. The rightwing media like Fox were also saying it was nothing. Whether Trump's lack of action was influenced by Jared and rightwing media, who knows. He should have taken seriously the people in government who were telling him this was serious. Trump cared more about the economy so he didn't act fast.

In mid November the US government warned Israel on the threat from the the virus. Israel was one of the first nations to act and implement strict quarantine measures on people entering the country.

Report: US warned Israel about COVID-19 in November

The information was also handed over to the White House, 'which did not deem it of interest'

The US government reportedly gave Israel advanced warning over the emerging threat the coronavirus posed in China around mid-November.

According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 12, US intelligence agencies became aware of the danger posed by COVID-19 as it battered the central city of Wuhan in China's Hubei province.

The information was then handed over to the White House, “which did not deem it of interest,” according to Channel 12.

The "this virus is a Democrat hoax to hurt Trump" narrative is a pretty horrible example of politicizing this pandemic.
It demonstrates that rationale thought is dead among a large portion of people. A big portion of America has decided to start believing in whatever they want to believe in. This is called anti intellectualism. When things aren't going your way, you turn to delusions. Everything that doesn't fit your narrative becomes a conspiracy.

President Trump has all the votes he needs right now he doesn't need to pander to any fencesitters. Those who refuse to acknowledge his personality or his means or context can not be convinced that he loves America and not only is he aware of it, he has no problem throwing it in their face...

Help us Jeremy Clarkson, you're my only hope
of not appearing to be defending Trump here.

Morgan is pure rubbish.
he is, but in fairness to him he's been consistent on this issue... he's one of the only media personalities in the UK actually holding our leaders accountable when he gets the chance to interview them

It seems like America and Trump is doing pretty well all things considered.

The media does attack Trump constantly and the dems did hold things up for awhile playing the political game but I can see what Morgan is talking about, Maybe Trump could just ignore them and stay focused at the briefings.
