Looks good at least for 2 more years, still got the new year event going and will no doubt do more crossovers in their next 2 years.Hmmm I wonder what, if anything, is going to change about the current product of Bellator. I hope they don't adopt the tournament format or the uniforms like the PFL has. Keep it unique.
I'd say do occasional crossover fights to keep things interesting like the UFC was going to do when they bought PRIDE. But don't overdo it.
Also have to ask: Where does Bellator’s relationship with RIZIN fit in to all of this?
Even if they keep Bellator going for a while, wouldn't PFL still have immediate roster flexibility? They should be able to pair Francis up with anyone from Bellator if they want to.Not sure why that's optimal. If the rumor is true, they really gotta use that roster to their best ability until they can find something for Francis or any other stars that they attract.
Didn't the head if PFL just say pretty much the opposite on the MMA hour? I believe he said that if they acquired another promotion that it would be solely for the talent.
There's no one to pair him up with, but there is a lot you can do to fill up PPV cards with some of the very best fighters in the world. That's not nothingEven if they keep Bellator going for a while, wouldn't PFL still have immediate roster flexibility? They should be able to pair Francis up with anyone from Bellator if they want to.
In fairness, Viacom/Paramount Global treating Bellator like an unwanted child had as much to do with Bellator’s failure as Coker did. They gave Bellator no real workable budget, and never advertised upcoming events across any of their networks. Also, putting a live sports show on Showtime in the 2020s? That’s a death knell.View attachment 1009434
This man is responsible for the deaths of 2 multi million dollar MMA companies.
100% kill ratio undoubtedly the GOAT promotion killer.
So will this make PFL better or make Bellator worse? RIght now I rather enjoy watching Bellator cards, PFL....not so much. If the current PFL is what it will be...that's a pass from me dawg. Would rather watch One or Rizin.

Probably makes both of them worse. A better roster isn’t going to suddenly make PFL production better, or more watchable.
Okay? They’re not suddenly going to up their production quality just because they bought Bellator. They’re going to trim the fat, and that means most of Bellator will go, and PFL will continue to be a horrible productBut PFL owns their Bellator's production and pretty much everything about Bellator. It's not like Viacom was responsible for putting Bellator's shows together, it was a autonomous subsidy.

Then why purchase Bellator to begin with. Have they no plan, no vision?and PFL will continue to be a horrible product
Their problem is they have too much vision, and are trying to expand before tightening up what they already have. Then why purchase Bellator to begin with. Have they no plan, no vision?
