Rules of the PFL Season
Unified Rules of MMA apply, but NO Elbows
6 divisions (FW, LW, WW, MW, LHW, HW), 12 fighters each, and the top 8 fighters based on score advance to the tournament
Each fighter fights twice during this season, and can earn a maximum of 12 points if they stop both of their opponents in the first round
There are a series of tiebreakers that we'll run into if we get there with tied scores
At the end of the year, there will be a multi-stage tournament with the quarterfinals and semi-finals in one night, and then a year-end show to crown the winners of each weight class

SCORING RULES:
Winners get 3 points
Draws 1 point each
Loser gets 0 points

Stoppage Win Points
Win in Round 1 - 3 points
Win in Round 2 - 2 points
Win in Round 3 - 1 point

Fighter Pay:
Winner in each weight class earns $1 million
Runner-up in each weight class earns $200,000
Semifinal losers earn $100,000
Quarterfinal losers earn $50,000
Each fighters also makes their standard show/win money depending on their contract.

I can't help but noticed they matched up 6 pt Alexander de Almeida vs 6 pt Steven Siler at FW. Also, 6 pt Jack May vs 6 pt Francimar Barroso at HW.

Bekbulat Magomedov (19-3) vs Timur Valiev

So both Minner and Deaton missed weight so they made Valiev and Bekbulat fight each other instead?

Perfect. Honestly that's great news and I'm glad Valiev and Bekbulat agreed to it.

Its an excellent fight for sure. Timur looked a bit on the slow side agaimst Coga. He'll need to pick it up against Bekbulat for sure.

Are they teammates or something?

No, but both of them are actually tournament participants. While Deaton and Minner are replacements filling in for injured tournament participants. So it's more fitting this way.

Enjoying these PFL Thursday Night Fights... Plus the point system... Going for the finish > boring and safe...

is the stream supposed to be in spanish?

edit: figured it out.

Shit. Thought I had until 330 with my nap. Woke up and the stream was already on

Oh boy, the same promos we saw before PFL 1. Hooray.

Since I posted the odds today, Palmer and Harrison have become even greater favorites:

Palmer is at -1165 to Tuerxun at +750
Harrison is at -900 to Malegarie at +600

Did that black announcer just say that Timur has a Frankie Edgar style?
