I don't think Melendez will beat Pettis either. Hoping he can put up a good fight though.

I think Pettis will win a close decision. I can't see Pettis just steamrolling Gil

If Pettis makes it look easy? I will be blown away. Beyond impressed.

Having said that, I very very much doubt that will happen.

Gil will put to tough imo

Pettis wont be able to use all his flashy stuff as Gil will pressure and wrestle well

Gil has trouble with in your face strikers reference the Diego fight and fight 1 and 3 with Thompson Pettis is gonna bring some off the wall striking I think he will look to use his wrestling to control the fight and if he does somehow win it will be by lay and pray decision

Gil has a huge grappling advantage. He can easily win this fight

Nobody at LW at this point "demolishes" Gil. He is a tough fight for anybody. I think it's a pretty even fight. Standing you have to give Pettis the edge. If Gil can get the takedown Showtime is in for a long and tough night and I can see Melendez finishing him.

Melendez is the hipster's #1 LW, whereas Pettis actually gets shit done.

gil won fairly one-sided decision. sanchez had a few moments.

thompson is tough, tough dude and is underrated.

No, no he doesn't. Pettis has good grappling. Stylistically this is a pretty good match-up for Pettis. But no one demolishes Melendez.

Lol. Anyway, Pettis finishes Gil. Striking defense too good, faster, kicks harder, and they both have great chins. Pettis via corner stoppage R4.
